Nancy M. Klimcheck is a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor's Degree in Vocal Performance and a Master's Degree in Music Education.  She is a Pittsburgh Concert Society Award winner, toured Europe as the Soprano Soloist with W.V.U. ‘s Collegium Musicum, was a professional member of the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh, and made her Pittsburgh Symphony debut in 2005 as the Soprano soloist in Haydn’s Mass in Time of War.  Nancy was also featured in Marvin Hamlisch’s Music Man production at Heinz Hall with actress/singer Shirley Jones in 2009, playing the role of Eulalie Mackecknie Shin.

Nancy was a member of the Professional Core of the Mendelssohn Choir for twenty years.  When she was sixteen, she was the youngest auditioned member of the choir prior to the creation of the Junior Mendelssohn Choir. She had also been a teaching staff member of the Junior Mendelssohn Choir for twelve years.

Since leaving the Mendelssohn Choir, Nancy is now singing with Voces Solis Singers and as a part of Ovrearts Singers. Voces Solis is a group of professional singers, many of whom perform and/or teach in the Pittsburgh area high schools and colleges. Ovrearts is a new non-profit organization featuring compositions written by young Pittsburgh composers for orchestra and choir.

Nancy has been teaching private Voice for 28 years. She coaches many of the Mendelssohn Choir members and paid area church soloists. She prepares students for High School Musical auditions, college Voice auditions and professional choir auditions in the Pittsburgh area.

Nancy taught Private Voice at Washington and Jefferson College and Point Park University.  Nancy continues to teach in her home studio in Bethel Park, PA.
