About the Founder

Gretchen Franz

Founder and director, Gretchen Franz, has been directing choruses of all ages for most of her life. Since 1981 she has served as organist/choir director at the Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church.  She had short stints outside the church with the Niagara Falls Chamber Singers and the Carlow College Women's Chorus. Creating a professional chorus fulfills one of Dr. Franz's dreams.

Gretchen has degrees from Penn State University, the School of Sacred Music at Union Theological Seminary, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from West Virginia University.

She lives in Dormont with her cat Theo.
