Kathy Whittaker has been the soprano soloist at Mount Lebanon United Methodist Church for many years and has been a core member of both Bach Choir and Mendelssohn Choir. She is currently the accompanist for the South Hills Chorale in Pittsburgh. Kathy has performed in many operas, oratorios and other classical venues and enjoys performing both piano and vocal works.
Kathy has been a Pittsburgher since moving to attend Carnegie Mellon University. She earned a BA in piano performance at Mercyhurst College and her MFA from CMU in vocal performance. She also earned a Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh and is a professor at Chatham University where she teaches in the graduate counseling program.
